Dogs found to leave an empty house?
Yesterday I went with my realtor to see in a house in foreclosure when you visit the back yard were two chihuahuas left by cruel owners, we give them food and water are so thin and week, but no closer I called my local shelter, but so far have not come to collect them, today I went to feed them with my real estate agent, of course, but still do not want approach me and try to bait me, please, any advice I can call for help to come to their aid I am glad I found if they are not going to die without food or water, and please do not leave your dog just because you lose your house is not a way that is life please help any advice is good I live in the city of Wilmington, California Thanks in advance
I think you should call Animal Control. Will have to leave a note on the property for 24 hours before they can obtain an order for removal unless they are in imminent danger. Continues to draw water and food for them. I will not put food on the night, however. That may attract wild animals like raccoons and large dogs that can kill small dogs, so feed them for the day would be better.
