Durham Foreclosures
Durham Foreclosures Durham Foreclosures
I am a widow of a military man. I used our life savings as down payment which was $36,000.?

The mortgage company sold my loan 60 days after closing. Lender didnot transfer the $36,000 to the new lender and my mortgage went back up to the original amount I owed as if I had not paid my earnest money and down payment. The NC Commissioner of Banks said they cant help. The NC Foreclosure Prevention said they cannot help. The NC Housing Finance Agency willnot help. I dont have money to hire a lawyer to take this case. I want my $36,000 applied to my loan. Plus interest for the years the lender has had my money and is using it. Please have someone help me without charging me. It is not my fault and I can prove that I paid the money at closing. The attorney that closed has a record of me paying in a certified check. 919-477-8472. Durham, NC> He said he dispersed the funds and it is not his fault because this happened after the loan was closed. I didnot find out until I tried to refinance and that is when I knew my balance was back at its original amount.

Contact a chapter of Legal Aid in your town and ask them if they can help you.

No one here is going to be able to *fix* this for you.
